Title: Elementary Teacher  (position begins August, 2020) 


St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School seeks an innovative teacher to inspire students to have an appreciation and understanding for elementary content, specifically in Kindergarten The candidate should have the ability to engage students in meaningful inquiry, critical thinking, problem solving and collaborative exploration.Teachers at St. Cyprian’s are expected to have a strong commitment to the students and the school community, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting all aspects of school life. 

Qualities of the ideal candidate are:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Texas Teacher Certification with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
  • Previous classroom or student teaching experience preferred
  • Ability to be innovative, collaborative and a positive member of the school community
  • Experience in differentiating instruction to accommodate different learning styles
  • Experience with technology as a tool for engaging students

Title: Executive Administrative Assistant 

St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School seeks an executive administrative assistant to provide confidential, consistent and professional support to the school staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and writing skills, and an ability to anticipate needs and take initiative to make the office run efficiently. Employees at St. Cyprian’s are expected to have a strong commitment to the students and the school community, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting all aspects of school life. This is a full time, 12 month position. 

Qualities of the ideal candidate are:

  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals and to interact cheerfully and professionally with the public.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • The ability to see what needs to be done and take initiative in doing it.
  • Proficiency in use of Google Suites, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, familiarity with database functionality and portal management and ease in learning to use other software and online resources.
  • Very strong keyboarding skills
  • Experience in a similar role preferred. 
  • Friendly, sociable and welcoming personality

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acts as liaison for the head of school with the school and local community
  • Prepares schedules for the Board of Trustee and makes meeting arrangements for the board meetings. 
  • Acts as registrar and maintains reports and office files
  • Acts as coordinator for required screenings and immunizations maintaining records and reports at campus, state and federal level
  • Manage Substitutes and maintain a list for teachers.
  • Maintains accreditation information
  • Maintains a sense of teamwork and positive tome among the school office staff.
  • Assist institutional advancement functions in coordinating various special events (such as; Board meetings, school tours, and sociels, graduation, in-service and professional development days.
  • Cheerfully and efficiently supports the goals of the school in a variety of unanticipated ways. 
  • Uses independent judgement in performing the tasks of the position.
  • Monitors and directs special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
