We inspire excellence at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School. Whether it is in our aeronautics program, fine arts studios or environmental science gardens, students are offered opportunities to experience the world around them in engaging and creative ways. We are a 501(C)(3) organization and receive no outside funding from church or governmental entities. Our operating budget is dependent on just 2 sources of revenue. Tuition and program fees make up 60% of the needed revenue and charitable contributions through grants, gifts and fundraisers cover the remaining 40%. Gifts to the school outside of tuition are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Our school’s financial well being is the result of prudent financial management practices and successful fundraising initiatives.
St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School has been offering families in Angelina and surrounding counties a choice in education since 1955. Choosing an education program with outstanding academics and a focus on developing the whole child to their God given potential has inspired excellence in our students for 65 years. Join us in continuing this legacy of excellence by contributing to the annual Lion Fund today.
WAYS of GIVING
Thank you for your interest in making a donation to St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School. SCES’s independence from local, state and federal governments provides unparalleled opportunities to develop challenging, innovative, and creative educational programs. That independence, however, makes SCES’s completely dependent on tuition income and other revenue sources (annual giving, major fundraisers, endowment earnings) to support the faculty and the broad range of programs we offer. We appreciate all levels of support and contributions to the school.
♦ Annual Fund Gifts are normally given in the fall in the form of a one-time payment or several payments throughout the school year. Annual fund donations go toward the general needs of the school.
♦ Endowments are a way to make a permanent gift to St. Cyprian’s School.
♦ Restricted Gifts are earmarked for specific purchases from the operating account. Contributions can be made to scholarships, , program support, faculty support and facilities support.
♦ Scholarship gifts may be given to provide assistance for scholarships funding.
♦ Gifts Of Remembrance are unique way to remember a loved one, teacher, mentor or child on a special occasion. Honorariums or memorial gifts may be designed to benefit a special program.
♦ School Shopping Programs are designed to give a percentage of purchases back to the school. The following programs give back to SCES.

Bayou Bash is our annual auction and dinner. This event is the largest school fundraiser of the year and we encourage participation from all of our families. Each class provides an item to be auctioned in addition to the many items and services donated by businesses and families in our community. Many volunteers are needed to help with the planning, soliciting and decorating for this fun and exciting St. Cyprian’s legendary event known as Bayou Bash!
SCES Guild is our Parent Teacher Organization. SCES’s Guild strives to enhance the overall educational atmosphere of our school. Through this organization, parents actively volunteer their time and talents to enrich the school and its programs. Our SCES Guild volunteers help out in a variety of ways, from event volunteers to providing occasional meals for our faculty and staff. Additionally, SCES Guild works to raise much-needed funds for the school. Funds raised by SCES Guild have provided the school with new cafeteria tables, picnic tables and classroom funds for teachers. If you would like more information about SCES Guild, please contact Amber Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
