Archery Club

The Texas Archery in the Schools Program, adopted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, provides international-style target archery training in physical education classes. The archery program was established last year at St. Cyprian’s School for grades fourth and fifth. Since then the program has offered a summer archery camp and has started an archery club. The students in the club will participate in tournament style competition and recently attended their first tournament. Coach Amanda Gentry and Susanne Lively head up the program at the school and hope to write another grant to extend archery to grades first through third.
