Saint Cyprian’s Episcopal School Welcomes New Staff
St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School is pleased to announce the new faculty and staff for the 2009-2010 school year.
Kay Hartnett will be teaching first grade. Mrs. Hartnett has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has previously taught at Apple Springs School and Hudson I.S.D. She has 30 years of teaching experience. She and her husband Mike have three adult children and three grandchildren.
Carol Carnley will be teaching third grade. Mrs. Carnley has a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Early Childhood Specialization from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has worked in the field of education for 18 years and taught previously at Slack Elementary, Diboll I.S.D. and Hudson I.S.D. She and her husband Butch have two adult children and five grandchildren.
Jeanie McCusker will be teaching 3K. Mrs. McCusker has a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication and Spanish from The University of Tennessee, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Doctorate Degree in Counseling from The University of Memphis. She has taught for seven years. She and her husband Caleb have three children.
Sheila Adams joins the staff as the Director of Marketing and Development. Mrs. Adams has a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has worked in public relations and marketing for The Coalition, Memorial Health System of East Texas and the Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau. She and her husband Andy have two children.
Other staff changes include Sue Anne Rees will be moving to 5K this year, and Ashlie Ballard as a Dyslexia Therapist and Science Curriculum Coordinator. Mary Gail McCarty has assumed a new position as the Lead Dyslexia Therapist on campus.
