Kay Hartnett

1st Grade Teacher

Kay Hartnett will be teaching second grade at St. Cyprian’s. Mrs. Hartnett has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has previously taught at Apple Springs School and Hudson I.S.D. She has 32 years of teaching experience. She and her husband Mike have three adult children and three grandchildren.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing with grandchildren and traveling. She is also an avid baseball fan (especially the Astros and Rangers).

Teaching Philosophy
To provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment to help my students grow academically and spiritually. My prayer is that God will use me to foster a love for learning in my students.
