Meet the Rector of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church
St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School will vigorously promote unsurpassed values of the Christian Faith, the spiritual growth of students, and the Episcopal nature of the school. The Rector of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church is responsible for the spiritual guidance of the school. The Rev. Arthur A. Callaham is the new Rector of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church and the chaplain of St. Cyprian’s School. He is a graduate of the Divinity School of the University of Chicago and Virginia Tech and holds degrees in Divinity, Sociology and Engineering.
Father Callaham and his wife, Erica, recently relocated to Lufkin from Baltimore, MD. While in Baltimore, he served as the curate (junior priest) and catechist (religion teacher) at St. James Episcopal School/Academy.
In his spare time, Fr. Callaham enjoys baking bread, reading science fiction, watching football and spending time with his wife. He also juggles, and has recently started to rebuild his golf game.
Philosophy of Ministry: “Taste and see that the Lord is good!”
